Distance Learning program
Project at a glance
With the Right to education being included in one of the Fundamental Rights guaranteed to all by the constitution, huge disparity still exists between children residing in rural areas to those in urban areas with regard to education. We, at Youth Thinkers’ Society Aim to bridge this gap using the technology. In this aspect, we connect the schools in rural areas to a leading urban school for sharing their classroom activities through Skype. The lessons, therefore, will be held two- way between the schools with YTS acting as a facilitator. This kind of learning will make the children in rural areas equally competitive as those in urban areas. Providing internet facilities to the children in rural areas, instantly gives them access on information of almost anything one can possibly imagine, provides them with ability to quick research, increase networking and many more. We strongly believe, if this project succeeds, rural children will get plentiful opportunities to learn and grow in their homes and as a result they will not have to leave for cites searching better opportunities and, hence, to a certain extend our vision of reducing brain drain will turn into reality.
